"How can I apply to HZ?" is one of the most frequently asked questions from prospective students. The procedure is not as complicated as it seems and it's pretty quick too. Because we want you to be well prepared we've made a small guide to help with the application. If you still have any questions you can contact one of HZ's student advisors.
Quick step-by-step tutorial
The first step is to access Studielink. Here you can choose to login with or without DigiD. You will have to click on the link to create a Studielink account without DigiD.
Once you've clicked on that link you'll have to fill out your personal information to create an account. Make sure to read and approve the general conditions before confirming and submitting the form.
After you submit the form, Studielink will send you an e-mail with a temporary password. It can take a few minutes before it actually appears.
When you receive the password you can go back to the original page to log in with your username and temporary password. You'll then be asked to change the password.
Once you get into your Studielink page, you'll find a section called "My To Do List". First you can click on "Add previous education", here you can fill out the information about your previous diploma (or the diploma you'll be receiving at the end of this year).
After this step you go back to "My To Do List" and click on "Enrolment application". Here you can select the academic year you want to start in, the university and study programme. Click "Confirm study programme" once you're ready. Then you can select the starting date and confirm this as well. After this you'll be asked to confirm all of it again.
Hopefully this step-by-step tutorial made it clearer for you what to do exactly. I've also made a video tutorial about it in case you need some more help. Studielink has changed their looks a bit but the steps are still the same!
Once you've completed these steps, you will receive an e-mail with a link to the HZ International Application System (ias.hz.nl). Here you can submit the required documents to your file. If your application file is complete, you will get information about your acceptance within one week. You will be sent a conditional letter of acceptance, if your records meet the admission requirements.
On the website there is a lot more information to be found about the application process. If you do have any other questions you might be able to find the answer here, or contact a student advisor.
I hope this blog helped you with feeling more confident about going through the application process! Good luck with your studies.
