Applying for a bachelor’s at HZ in four easy steps

Going abroad can seem quite daunting at times. We would love to welcome you at HZ and that is why we would like to make it as easy as possible for you to get here. One of the ‘hurdles’ you will have to take before you can come to the HZ, is to apply. To make all this as easy as possible, we will take you step by step through the entire application process.
Do you want to find out if HZ is the right university for you? Talk to an advisor!

1 Make sure you are ready to apply
If you want to make sure you will be admitted, please check the admission requirements before you apply.

2 Apply via studielink.nl
Studielink.nl is the Dutch online application system for higher education. Go to the site and click on the British flag to go to the English part of the site. Apply for a username and password. Once you have these, you can log in and apply for one of HZ’s Bachelor’s programmes.

3 Submit info to the HZ
Once you have applied via Studielink.nl, HZ’s administration system will send you an email with a link to the HZ International Student Administration System. You will receive this email within one week after your application via Studielink.nl. You can then complete your application by attaching the required documents to your file.

4 Conditional Letter of Acceptance
Once you have submitted all documents and information required and our application file is complete, we will inform you about your admission within two weeks. We will then send you a Conditional Letter of Acceptance, if your records meet the admission requirements.

Need help during your application?
If you need any help or have any questions during the application process, please do not hesitate to contact our Student Office via csa@hz.nl

When to start your application
The application procedure opens in October. If you have not yet graduated, you can still apply. We will then inform you on your admission based on your last transcript of records. It is strongly recommended that you apply before 1 May  This will give you plenty of time to find a room and make other arrangements at your leisure. The final closing date for application is 15 July for EU students and for non-EU students the deadline is 15 June.

Well, I hope this blog will clarify the application process. If you have more questions, ask a student advisor. Good luck!
